Freeing Those Dump Valves

Recently a couple of Hatti’s friends, two widowed women, who travel together in Class C motorhomes, were stopped at a public dump station. A man from another rig waiting in line, walked up to see what he could see. Finding two women doing the honorable thing in connecting drain line and dumping tanks he had the audacity to ask: "I wonder what I would have to do to get my wife to do that job."

Sandy looked him square in the eye and in words of one syllable, set hm straight. She said, plainly, clearly and succinctly, "Die!"

Which brings us to this month’s helpful tip.

Many RV’rs have found that the miracle lubricant for those pesky slide valves on both the gray and the black tanks is liquid fabric softener. Mind you use the liquid. Not the fluff cloths that are for the dryer. Just add the liquid softener additive in a small amount in the tanks after every dump this will free up the slide gates and lubricate them quite nicely.
