Page Lake
Powell Campground, AZ
For only the second time, we are having a September
camp. This is a no-host camp at Page, Az and at The Page Lake
Powell Campground. This is a mostly full hookup park with some W/E
only spaces.
There is a lot to see in the area including the Powell Museum, Antelope
Canyon on the Navajo Reservation, the lake itself and we can look at
some of the huge houseboats moored in the marina.
Costs: Approximately $26 for full
hookups.
Location: From the Junction of Route 89 and Haul Road,
take Haul Rd. East 1.7 miles to Coppermine Road. The park is right
there.
Possible Activities: Several museums are open for
visitors in the Prescott area including: John Wesley Powell museum of
River exploration and the Reclamation Service Museum of dam
construction.
Other places of interest include the guided tours of Antelope Canyons,
float trips in Glen Canyon and the specialty shops of Page.
