Roper Lake State Park
Where: Roper Lake State Park, Safford, AZ
From US-70 in Safford, follow signs south toward Benson. About three miles
is the turn off to
the park entrance.
When: November 9 - 12, lv 13th
Hosts: The Fullers are hosting this camp-out. The regular pot-luck will be on
Thursday evening and it is a Bring your own main dish and a side dish to
share.
Costs: Camp fees of $20/ night for Electric & Water hookups
Facilities: There is a dump station, restrooms & showers.
There is a lot to see and do in the Safford, Central, Thatcher area, including the scenic drive up Mt. Graham
Included within the campground is a natural hot spring hot tub free for
anyone to use.
In the city of Safford are several outstanding restaurants.
Just 35 miles south in Wilcox, there are many apple orchards. just a few
remain open into November with a "pick-your-own" operation.
