Where We Are Going

February 2007 - McDowell Mountain Regional Park

Sunset at McDowell

February 5th through the 7th, leaving on the 8th. We will be dry camping in a group area of McDowell Mountain Regional Park . All restrooms offer flush toilets and showers.  There is dump station located near the entrance.
The Fishers are hosting this outing. Please contact Jack or Terri for more information. Check your newsletter for contact information.
The club will be picking up the reservation fee for the group area.
The park contains a plethora of hiking trails with lots to see.
A stroll through the park will allow visitors to likely see deer, javelina, birds, and coyotes.

There are some geocaches located in the park. Geocaching is a new outdoor activity which involves the search for hidden caches by inputting a set of given coordinates into your GPS (Global Positioning System) unit and then following the directions given by your GPS to find the cache.

Rates for the group sites are $12/night and includes the park admission fees.
