March in Laughlin, Nevada

Had a good turnout, Kaufmans, Kirwans, Fullers, Mentons, Leydeckkers, Spigners, Lequeriques & Rodgers. Since it was in Laughlin, no pot luck, lots of buffets to pick from. In addition to the gambling, we enjoyed a river cruise up and down the river by the casinos just as the sun was going down, very nice and scenic. We visited the local museum and it had a lot of the local history, interesting. Some of the gang got to see a free show Wednesday evening. The Kaufmans A/C took a dump and they headed home a day early.
The meeting covered subjects like; new officer nominations ready for the Oct. outing. The newsletter following the Oct camp out will have the list of nominations, Pres., V-Pres., Treasure & Sec. Voting will be by e-mail, phone or snail mail to the editor. The deadline to have all votes in will be Nov. the 2nd (Friday) and the results will be available for the Nov. outing (place and time still undefined) and published in the Nov. newsletter. Not to be forgotten, where are we going next season? Task, each rig is to bring a slip of paper to the next outing with a destination they would like to be considered for next seasons destination.
Everyone was happy with the campout and round of applause for the Mentons. The April campout will be near Tucson, Gilbert Ray campground. The outing is scheduled for April 10th through the 12th (Tues - Thurs) leaving on Friday the 13th! No reservations, so first come first serve, and Ed said they will be in the "C" loop. All except the tent sites have electricity with water available nearby and a dump station in the park. Call Rosie (if you didn't sign up for a dish for the potluck in Laughlin) for your dish to share, bring your own meat/main dish and a drink. The May campout is the Kaufmanns and will be at Ruby's RV park outside of Bryce Canyon NP, Ut.
